Love purple flowers that require very little effort to grow?

Often mistaken as lavender by novices, it puts on a brilliant show of purples, whites and pinks in a big range of shades.

Known as Salvias there are many hundreds of varieties available. Its a great plant for beginners as its very tough and grows in full hot sun with only minimal watering.

Also a good easy one to grow from cuttings so maybe you could look in your neighbours gardens too.

And remember to feed it to produce the best flowers and compact growth. Nutrafeed from the Aussie Gardener Store will produce amazing results. Mix into a watering can every 2 weeks during the flowering season (throughout summer) www.aussiegardener.com.au/fertilisers
