Brian and Kaylene Chapman,
A quick intro.. We have lived in Dural for the past 15 years on a beautiful acreage property which we absolutely love. Both of us keen gardeners, Brian a horticulturist and together with our 2 boys, Ashley and Jimmy we run an online gardening supplies store called Aussie Gardener.
Prior to that we ran a family photography studio for 20 years where families would come to have photos taken in our themed gardens.
We love creating beautiful outdoor spaces and feel very blessed to call Dural our home.
For years we have been looking at the public spaces in our area and the poor condition they are in, and discussing at the dinner table... that we should do some midnight gardening and secretly tidy the spaces up when no ones looking. (queue Mission Impossible sound track 😁)
A recent post in one of the local family groups highlighting an unkept verge and also the condition of the roundabouts was enough to decide. Now is the time to make this happen!
If we can get enough people in the community that are also sick of waiting for council, we could get together to do some tidying, pruning, fertilising, planting and overall beautify our streets so that we can be proud of our suburbs. Our area gets thousands of daytrip visitors who venture out our way looking for an escape from hectic Sydney living. Let's give them something to smile about.
This could be the start of something pretty magical and we are very thankful that you have decided to be part of that adventure.
About 100 people have said they are interested, so we've put this survey together to work out what skills and resources we have amongst us all. We will then use this to create Green Teams to work on local projects.

Thank you for taking the first steps to make this (slightly crazy) idea happen.
Brian and Kaylene :-)
