Brighten up your garden this spring with some beautiful, blooming bulbs.

These bulbs grow very low to the ground so they look fabulous at the front edge of a garden. This is the improved version of the common blue grape hyacinth. Deep blue blooms in the late winter, very long lasting flowers. Exceptional when mass planted, and a beaut companion plant for yellow daffodils.

Best if you can plant them into a nice rich soil with plenty of organic matter (well rotted manure and compost) but they do also cope pretty well in poor soils, as long as the drainage is good.

Perfect for naturalising they multiply readily.

Choose exactly how many bulbs you'd like to buy - whether you're just after a handful for a pot or hundreds for the WOW factor it's totally up to you! Why not make planting easy with our 207 Power Planter.  Get in quick while stocks last!

Amgrow Nutrafeed Fruit & Flower Booster-Bulb Liquid Fertiliser 500g

Botantical name

Muscari neglectum

Early Spring

Cool to Mediterranean

Full Sun to Semi Shade

Growing Conditions Detailed
Botanical name: Muscari
Family: Liliaceae
Planting time: Late Summer to Autumn
Height: 10-15cm

Depth & spacing

5cm deep & apart. Plant lots of them close together.

Full sun to part shade. Great for growing under trees too.

Start watering when you see it sprouting above the ground. Keep the soil moist right until the foliage has finished and shrivelled down to ground level.

Bulbs don't need food when they dormant (i.e. no shoots above ground as they are sleeping then). The important time to fertilise is when they start to sprout above ground. For best results use a complete liquid fertiliser like our Nutrafeed Flower and Fruit Booster once you see your hyacinths sprouting above ground and continue to give them a feed every 2 weeks until the foliage has completely died off.

Flowering time
Late Winter onwards.

After flowering care
Just leave them in the ground so they can multiply.

Climatic tolerances
Subtropical to cool.

I recommend this product

Grape Hyacinths and Anemomies

Loved the price. Loved the service and ease of communication with the staff of Power Planter. I also appreciated the instructions on how to successfully plant the bulbs. Now it is up to me to follow through on caring for them

Grape Hyacinth Blue

Very happy with these bulbs. They were a good size and had started to shoot so planted them out within a week of receiving them. They have shot up nicely in their position, so I am looking forward to seeing a bunch of blue flowers.
