Aussie Gardener Canvas Waterproof Tarps

Excellent Quality Canvas Tarpaulins

There’s a reason traditional canvas tarps have been used for generations.

They’re tough, practical, long-lasting — and compared with a blue plastic tarp, they look a whole lot better too.

Our heavy-duty canvas tarpaulins are beautifully made and, with a little care, can last for many years. They’re ideal for covering trailers and loads, camping, protecting gear, or simply throwing down as a picnic blanket at the park or beach.

Why choose canvas instead of a plastic tarp?

Much quieter in the wind
Anyone who has used a plastic tarp on a windy night knows how noisy they can be. Canvas is heavier and softer, so it doesn’t flap, crackle and rattle around anywhere near as much.

Made to last for years
These are not disposable tarps. The heavy 340gsm canvas, reinforced eyelets and strong construction make them suitable for regular use over many years when properly cared for.

They look so much nicer
Traditional green or tan canvas has a timeless, natural appearance that looks far better around the home, campsite, garden or trailer than bright blue plastic.

Breathable without trapping condensation
Unlike solid plastic tarpaulins, canvas can breathe. This helps reduce condensation and sweating underneath the tarp while still providing excellent protection from rain.*

Perfect for picnics and the beach
Because canvas is strong, comfortable and doesn’t have that plastic feel, the smaller sizes also make excellent picnic rugs, beach blankets or boot protectors.

And don’t just take our word for it — have a read through the customer reviews below. These tarps don’t disappoint.

A note about waterproof canvas

Canvas behaves differently from a solid plastic sheet. Its very tight fabric weave provides excellent protection from rain while still allowing some air to pass through, which helps prevent condensation underneath.

Canvas tarpaulins are designed to be installed with enough slope for rainwater to run off. They should not be used where water can pool for extended periods, as water may eventually seep through the fabric. If you're covering something that must remain dry, make sure the tarp is positioned so rain can drain away freely.
